I took your head down bring the soul I heard your heart go with every note dead...about to get on bed for ten I want your temple for my own But even then it's settled in and you're better than to sin again I tied up with your eyes, no and Just cause you wanna be with me, doesn't see the the get up on the mount now But wait just go, just feels better when we get it done Take the high road said to come to bed on the sun will blind our technicolor sheets and but just the same I could've waited to die Just cause we're doing funk! Last night just felt too real being on ya Our eyes met your roughness with contrasted tans of butter Led to thoughts of distraction, wasn't reaction when I felt your world inside better sounding than what you had on your way out every moment that oil spills in the ocean we'll calculate motions to create the lovely divides oh wait don't go so little was said before we got it done so

Beckon 02:12
I saw it coming no better to die and with that and no, you let your heart die slow. Did I kick you dead? I brought in all as a friend with you alone. We fell down together last time. Grabbing, pulling: everything is... Hard to get back up and feel right. You had your eyes closed and drunken sails doused by booze. When you took the time to look up, you grabbed me and pulled me in. "Woa" you said, "You're better to not take note again, you're better off where you are." You said you feel a lot "signed off." You're better. I saw it coming no better to die and with that and no, you let your heart die slow. Did I kick you dead? I brought in all as a friend with you alone. "Woa" you said, "You're better to not take note again, you're better off where you are." You said you feel a lot "signed off." You're better.

Idling 03:04
Hey! decided could all get it on, had it fairer, just settle on your brown eyes tonight. The slim dress that fits you so right. Oh no - you said "already bet light" sayin' "you bet light" Oh wow, we're a hot mess: two friends that have sex Oh to learn off, to beckon me now to come and get it and 'cause we're alone let's start idling softly...you speak to me again, it's all about to send me all around: on about how you're not deciding to bend. Oh to learn off, to beckon me now to come and get it and 'cause we're alone let's start idling

On and on I swear saw your eye taking in the weather. I need to see it to know; hadn't had a faster way. On and on I saw you there, taking in the weather. Take a drink from the watering hole, come take a drink with me. A gorge of bubble and grey snowflakes permeate from where it used to be. Unapologetic, apathetic, what you have, what you have. I think I'm gonna be sick but I'll take a drink, I'll take a sip again. I think I need to be a little bit more drunk to take a sip again. You let your heart die slow, you let your heart die. I'm working backwards to impress you and prove it now. The patch you had for years and revealingly eschewed it. You let your heart die slow, you let your heart die. A gorge of bubble and grey snowflakes permeate from where it used to be. Unapologetic, apathetic, what you have, what you have. I think I'm gonna be sick but I'll take a drink, I'll take a sip again. I think I need to be a little bit more drunk to take a sip again. You let your heart die slow, you let your heart die.

about

KPOK! is a poprock indie project that began as a silly idea over internet chat in March 2015. We were superbuds who played
together in our highschool mathrock/posthardcore/twinkly band Televive. We had no material at the time when that conversation went down but we both decided to start writing and digging up old musical ideas from previous projects.

Within 1 hour, we came up with a game plan: 6 sessions with our friend/studio wizard/magical sorcerer Damon Moon at The Cottage and hopefully we would have 3-4 songs by the end of the adventure.
After having quickly booked the sessions and organized our schedules, I bought my tickets to Atlanta literally 45 minutes later.

We created 3 demos and took bits and pieces from other songs prior to arrival. We cowrote everything together and tied it up all nicely with the help of mexican food, a sassy in-house cat, beer, and more alcohol.
